Hopkins Factoids
Downtown Park For over thirty years, Downtown Park has served as a beautiful place to take a deep breath of fresh air between 9th and 10th Avenues. Downtown Park was created in 1976 on land that had been home to First Methodist Church from 1889 to 1954. The church had been cleared as part of an urban renewal project. The intent was to create green space and a place to gather within downtown Hopkins. Natural raised seating areas were created with large berms, making it a perfect place to enjoy an outdoor concert. |
